TissueScopeProtocol profiles

Tissue culture protocols, straight from the literature

Type a plant. TissueScope reads the published papers and builds a protocol profile: explants, sterilization, media, growth regulator doses in mg/L, response and time. Every number links to the sentence it came from.

How it works

  1. Resolve the species.
NCBI Taxonomy and GBIF give the accepted name, synonyms and common names. If both are unreachable the name is used as typed.
  2. Search the literature.
PubMed, Europe PMC, OpenAlex, Crossref, DOAJ, Semantic Scholar and Zenodo, each queried several ways; open-access full text is read from PubMed Central.
  3. Read sentence by sentence.
A rule-based reader extracts only what is unambiguous. Anything unclear is skipped, never guessed.
  4. Check twice.
Each record is re-derived from its own sentence by a second, independent reader. Disagreements are rejected.
  5. Rank by evidence.
Protocols that independent papers agree on rank higher; close competitors are flagged so you can compare.
